1. Agreement and Company Information

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PetDetail, LLC, a Florida limited liability company located at 100 E Pine St, Suite 110, PMB 6107, Orlando, FL 32801 ("PetDetail," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Service Description

PetDetail is a comprehensive pet health tracking and management platform that allows users to:

Maintain digital health records for their pets
Track medications, vaccinations, health events, weight trends, and reminders (one-time and recurring)
Maintain a daily care journal with meals, walks, activities, and streak tracking
Store and organize veterinary documents with folders and advanced search (Premium plan only)
Export pet health reports as PDF (Premium plan only)
Upload and manage pet photos with organization tools
Real-time notifications and an email reminder system
Push notifications on mobile (iOS and Android) for reminders and account events
AI-powered features including background removal/image processing and health insights (Premium plan only)

Important: PetDetail provides data management tools and AI-generated content for informational purposes only. We do not provide veterinary advice or medical recommendations.

3. Eligibility and Account Requirements

PetDetail is a general-audience service available to users located in the United States and Canada. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 17 years old. PetDetail is not intended for users under 17.
You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. Where local law requires parental or legal guardian consent for users who are still considered minors at 17, that consent must be obtained before the account is used.
All information you provide is accurate and complete
You will maintain the security of your account credentials

Account Security: Passwords must be at least 8 characters and include uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a symbol. To protect against brute-force attacks, accounts are temporarily locked for 15 minutes after 5 failed login attempts. Sessions expire after a period of inactivity for your protection.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

PetDetail offers the following subscription tiers:

Basic Plan: Free forever — 1 pet profile, basic health tracking (vet visits, vaccines, weight, medication), 7-day journal & activity history, up to 5 active reminders, 1 provider contact, 3 document uploads (rabies certificate, microchip registration & adoption papers), and emergency resources & first aid.
PetDetail Premium Monthly: $9.99/month — Unlimited pet profiles, unlimited health tracking & history, unlimited reminders, unlimited AI health insights, unlimited provider contacts, unlimited document uploads with folder organization, unlimited PDF health reports & exports, expense tracking with receipts & insights, emergency resources & first aid, priority customer support, and early access to new features.
PetDetail Premium Annual: $99.99/year (includes a 7-day free trial where eligible) — Same features as Premium Monthly.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD). Depending on your region, the Apple App Store or Google Play may display prices and process payments in your local currency using their own exchange rates and pricing policies. Applicable taxes may be added by the store at checkout.

Purchases made through the iOS app are processed and billed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. Purchases made through the Android app are processed and billed by Google through Google Play using your Google account. PetDetail uses RevenueCat solely to securely manage subscription status and entitlements across supported platforms; RevenueCat does not process subscription payments.

7-Day Free Trial (Annual Plans Only)

Premium annual subscriptions include a 7-day free trial where eligible. Monthly subscriptions are billed immediately and do not include a trial. During the annual trial:

You have full access to all Premium features
You will not be charged until the trial ends
You can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged
If you don't cancel, your annual subscription will automatically begin and billing will start at the end of the 7-day period
The trial is available only for new subscribers to the Premium annual plan

5. Payment and Billing

PetDetail subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Billing is handled entirely by the applicable app store:

iOS app: Purchases are processed entirely by Apple and billed to your Apple ID under Apple's Media Services Terms.
Android app: Purchases are processed entirely by Google and billed to your Google account under Google Play's terms.
Subscription pricing, applicable taxes, renewal dates, accepted payment methods, and currency conversion are controlled by Apple or Google.
RevenueCat is used only for subscription management and entitlement synchronization across your devices; it does not process payments.
PetDetail does not collect or store your payment card information for App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
Failed payments handled by Apple or Google may result in loss of Premium access until the store resolves the payment.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Apple App Store:

Cancel anytime via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or through the App Store.
Cancellation stops future renewals; Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.
All refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. PetDetail cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.

Google Play:

Cancel anytime via Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Cancellation stops future renewals; Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are governed by Google's refund policies. PetDetail cannot issue refunds for Google Play purchases.

7-Day Free Trial:

The 7-day free trial applies only to eligible Premium annual subscriptions where available.
Cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
If not canceled, the subscription automatically renews at the then-current annual price ($99.99/year) using your Apple or Google account.

RevenueCat:

RevenueCat is used only to manage and synchronize your subscription entitlement across platforms. RevenueCat does not process payments, issue refunds, or control billing terms. Subscription billing, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the policies of Apple or Google, as applicable.

7. User Content and Conduct

Content Uploads:

You may upload documents, photos, and other content related to your pets. You retain ownership of your content but grant PetDetail a license to store, process, and display it as necessary to provide our service.

Prohibited Content:

Unlawful, threatening, abusive, or harassing material
Pornographic, obscene, or sexually explicit content
Graphic depictions of violence or animal cruelty
Misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information
Content violating intellectual property rights

We reserve the right to remove violating content without notice. Report inappropriate content to hello@petdetail.com.

Document & Image Processing:

To provide features like previews, organization, and AI-powered background removal, we may process your uploads. Certain AI features (e.g., image background removal) run locally in your browser using open-source models loaded from Hugging Face; your pet photos are not transmitted to third-party AI inference services for this feature.

AI-Generated Content:

Premium subscribers have access to AI Health Insights powered by OpenAI's services. This feature analyzes your pet's health data to provide insights. Important: AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not replace professional veterinary advice. AI-generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated and should never replace the advice of a licensed veterinarian. Always consult with a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions. You use AI features at your own discretion and risk.

8. Medical Disclaimer and Liability

Important Medical Disclaimer:

PetDetail provides data management tools, not veterinary advice
AI Health Insights provide informational content only
AI-generated recommendations are not diagnostic tools or medical advice
Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions
In emergencies, contact a veterinarian or animal hospital immediately
You are solely responsible for decisions based on app information
We are not liable for any harm resulting from reliance on our platform or AI features
Data accuracy depends on information you provide

9. Data and Privacy

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We use custom analytics to improve our service and Postmark to deliver notifications and reminders.

Any item you delete in the app — including pets, documents, photos, journal entries, reminders, health events, providers, and notifications — is removed from our active production systems immediately and cannot be recovered through the application. Backup copies may temporarily exist as part of routine disaster recovery and are automatically removed according to our infrastructure provider's normal retention schedule. Records we are legally required to retain (such as payment or tax records) are kept only as required by applicable law. Upon account deletion:

Your account and all associated personal and pet data are removed from our active production systems immediately and cannot be recovered through the application
Backup copies are automatically removed according to our infrastructure provider's normal retention schedule
Records we are legally required to retain are kept only as required by applicable law
A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address

Third-Party Infrastructure

We use: Supabase (hosting, database, auth, storage), Apple and Google (App Store / Google Play in-app purchases on mobile), RevenueCat (mobile subscription receipt validation and entitlement management), Postmark (email delivery for reminders and account notifications), OneSignal (mobile push notification delivery on iOS and Android), Sentry (error tracking and performance monitoring), and custom analytics (usage analytics stored locally). Certain AI features run locally in your browser using models loaded from Hugging Face via transformers.js; for these features, your images are not sent to third-party inference APIs.

Email Communications

Transactional: account, security, subscriptions, reminders, and account deletion confirmations (cannot opt out of essential messages)

Marketing: tips and offers (you can opt out anytime in Settings or via email link)

10. Service Availability

We aim to provide continuous service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Periodic maintenance may require temporary downtime, which we will schedule during off-peak hours when possible and provide advance notice when feasible. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without liability where permitted by applicable law.

11. Intellectual Property

PetDetail owns all rights to the platform, software, and related materials. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant us necessary licenses to provide our service. Except where permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit the platform or our software without our prior written permission.

12. Limitation of Liability

PetDetail is provided "as-is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for damages arising from your use of our service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, non-payment, or other legitimate reasons. You may delete your account anytime from Settings. When you delete your account, all of your personal and pet data is removed from our active production systems immediately and cannot be recovered through the application, with the sole exception of backup copies retained on our infrastructure provider's normal schedule and records we are legally required to retain. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Florida law without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida. You agree to this jurisdiction and venue. If you reside in Canada, nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your province or territory, including Quebec's Consumer Protection Act where applicable.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
